10 Ways to Think Like a Millionaire

1. You Can Make Mistakes

Being a perfectionist can be one of the most destructive habits we have. You can always put it off until tomorrow, until you know more about it!

Imperfections can be fixed.

What you need to do is to start IMMEDIATELY. Get going in the direction you want.

You can read all you want about being rich, but until YOU START DOING you will never get there.

So start TODAY.

2. Don’t Be Unrealistic

If you state as one of your goals ‘ I Want to be a Millionaire Tomorrow ‘ you know that isn’t going to happen!!

This is an excuse to not do but to fail and carry on as you are.

If you now break that down into ‘ I want to double my earnings in six months’ then this is more realistic.

Thinking this way you can take small steps to the success you want . Take it in bite size chunks.

The only way to succeed is by staying disciplined and taking smaller steps.

Your brain can accept this and achieve this. It’s not unrealistic.

3. Change Your Habits

If your current habits lead to procrastination then you are allowing yourself to be robbed.

It’s easy to be disorganised, undirected and at the mercy of poor habits.

Make a decision RIGHT NOW  and say ‘ Enough is Enough’ I will change.

Make small changes, if you are consistently late – try getting there 5 minutes early and keep doing this. Do it for a few weeks and see what happens.

4.  Be Consistent

Like the change above, you need to move to the edge of your comfort zone.

This is not a bad thing but you need to take action and continue to do it.

Remember the feeling of pride when you carried out a job well done – imagine if you could feel that all of the time!!!

Carry out the little changes until they become automatic, like breathing, walking and eating.

Just remember to not change too much at once otherwise you are setting yourself up to fail.

5.  Focus On The Goal

You need to focus on the goal you are trying to achieve.

Yeah the end result is to be a millionaire but that is not the goal.

The goal is to double your income in six months!!

If you are focusing on this and you are moving further away from it  – then the goal needs to be fixed to bring you closer to it not further away!!

If what you are focusing on and taking action on is bringing you closer to your goal, then you know that success is going to be yours.

6. Time Is Valuable

What will you do when you are 90?

Look back on your life with a smile and think ‘ yes I did all right’ or with a frown and say ‘ I wish I had done more’?

Only you can decide which of these two option you want.

Your time is precious, don’t allow others to take your time when they feel like it .

Do you pick up the phone and get through to someone very successful immediately? No, you don’t, you need to make an appointment first.

They are in control of their time. Make sure you are. Create little changes to achieve this.

7.   Do One Thing You Don’t Want To

It’s very easy to sit around and think, it’s alright for them. But until you take action and responsibility for your actions you will never make the change.

You don’t need to make huge changes at the start, think about one thing you have been putting off – only a small thing, and go and do it.

People often get bogged down in how to do something rather than what they will get from achieving the outcome. They think about the pain rather than the pleasure.

If you focus on the reward instead of the process then you will find procrastination easy to beat.

8. Shake Off Your Conditioning

You have been programmed .

How many times have you heard?

‘ Money is the Root of all Evil’

‘ You have to work hard for your money’

‘ Money doesn’t buy happiness’

‘ That’s not for people like us’

If you were exposed to statements like these when you were young you are programmed to  think like this.

You would think, that given the choice between being rich and listening to the conditioning most would choose being rich – not a chance. Emotion wins every time.

What you need to do is to repeat actions which take you towards your goal, until they become habit.

9. Focus On Opportunities

Rich people see the potential growth and rewards, poor people see the potential loss and risks.

Which one are you?

Do you have the mindset of ‘what happens if it doesn’t work?’ or ‘ it will work, I WILL make it work!’.

The point is that YOU have to take action, nothing will change unless YOU do it.

10. Accept Who You Are

See yourself as self employed no matter where you might be working at the moment.

Take responsibility for everything you are and everything you WILL be.

If there is something in your life you don’t like it is up to you to do something about it. YOU are in charge of your life.

So What Are You Going To Do

With all of these points there is a theme: if YOU don’t change you will never change. YOU need to WANT to change before the change WILL happen.

So sit down with a piece of paper and write down all of the things you want to change – select one thing on the list and achieve this. Then repeat the exercise and achieve what you want to do in life

Enjoy yourself on your voyage of self discovery.
